Just like I want you to be safe no matter what weather comes your way, I also want you to be technologically safe! I want you to know all about the information I gather from you and how I will use that information so you can feel good about visiting my website and getting your weather forecasts from me.

Similar to other commercial websites, my website utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below) and server logs to collect information about how my site is interacted with. HOW DO I USE YOUR INFORMATION?

I use the information collected in order to conduct my business activities and provide the best possible customer experience to my besties and site visitors. I will not ever obtain personally-identifying information unless you choose to provide such information to me. Everyone likes cookies! Okay, maybe these kinds of cookies aren’t quite as tasty as chocolate chip cookies but they are a real treat for helping serve the visitors of my site even better! I gather information through cookies such as the date and time of visits, how long someone spends on a page of my website, what pages were viewed, websites that were visited prior to and after visiting mine, and an IP address.

My web server automatically collects IP addresses as part of demographic and profile data known as “traffic data” so that data (such as the Web pages you request) can be sent to you. Basically, it’s how my website interacts with your computer.

EMAIL INFORMATION AND POLICIES

Whenever someone corresponds with me through email it is possible I will retain the content of the email messages, my responses, and the person’s email address. I will protect all of these electronic communications the same as I do any information obtained through our website. 

I am committed to keeping your email address confidential. I do not ever sell, rent, or lease my subscription lists to third parties, and I will not provide your personal information to anyone outside of my business unless strictly compelled to do so by law. Kody the Weather Guy will only use your email address to provide you with information regarding my services. 

I will maintain the information you send via email in accordance with applicable federal law. 

In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all emails sent from Kody the Weather Guy will clearly state who the email is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. There will be an option to unsubscribe from my mailing list on any widespread email from my company so you may receive no further email communication from me if you wish. 

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights in and on my website shall remain the sole property of Kody the Weather Guy. The use of my trademarks, content, and intellectual property is forbidden without the express written consent of Kody.

The following are prohibited:

• Republishing material from my website without prior written consent. 
• Selling or renting out material or content from my website. 
• Reproducing, duplicating, copying, or otherwise exploiting material on my website for any purpose. 
• Redistributing any content from my website. 

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Throughout my website, there may be links to other companies and websites. When you click on a link you will be directed to a third-party website that is not operated by Kody the Weather Guy.
